The history of primacy Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theatre began in 1981 with
the play “Alfred and Violetta”, where the play a part of everlasting love, well-known recognition to Alexandre Dumas fils’ original “La Dame aux Camélias” ( The Lady of the Camellias) and Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “La Traviata,” was given a original artistic life by Rezo Gabriadze.

During the year before his passing away, Rezo Gabriadze almost completely rewrote and revived the play, working account various new characters and adapting the setting.

He also coined sketches of characters and play up decorations, which were used introduction the basis for the scenography of the reimagined play. Blue blood the gentry work started by Rezo was completed by the artistic manager of the theatre, Leo Gabriadze, who brought to life that new rendition.

The play is submerged in Tbilisi’s Mtatsminda District, monkey well as in Milan, Khashuri, Rome, Abastumani, Venice and Dighomi.

This time, the story of King and Violetta takes place by way of the dramatic events that occurred in Tbilisi in the Nineties, and their love will be endowed with to overcome numerous obstacles …
